Bootstrapped dating app QuackQuack skyrockets to 115% growth in FY 22-23

28,000 downloads per day and more than 1.53 Million photos uploaded in January 2023

13th February 2023, Hyderabad: One of India’s first homegrown dating platforms, QuackQuack, has beaten all market odds to clock an incredible 115% growth for FY 22-23. In its short existence of a little over a decade, QuackQuack bootstrapped since inception has grown from strength to strength despite the challenging financial situations across the world effecting startups from early stages to growth stages.

The current global recession-like situation has brought funding to a crawl with VCs looking for a return on their investments by asking their companies to turn profitable. The financial turbulence has resulted in VC-funded startups struggling to raise funds in recent times. Despite the uncertainty that prevails today, QuackQuack has silently charted its own path undeterred surviving effectively for the last 12 years and is now heading towards USD 4 Million in Annual Run Rate.

Commenting on this incredible growth trajectory, QuackQuack’s Founder and CEO, Ravi Mittal said, “The possibility of a financial meltdown is now very real which has made it very difficult for startups in India to secure initial or additional funding. Being bootstrapped from Day 1, in hindsight has saved us from the perils of worrying about funding from VCs or any other sources which allowed us to have an uninterrupted focus on delivering the best product to our users.”

The dating app has added an astonishing million users in 55 days alone and has seen 150 million profile views in the last month alone. Users of QuackQuack have exchanged a total of 35 million chats and 250 million screen views in the month of January alone. Most importantly, the app has churned out over 240,000 matches as well showing that the algorithm used by the application is extremely effective.

Ravi Mittal further added, “We are extremely humbled by the faith and belief that our users have placed in us and in QuackQuack which can clearly be reflected from the 28,000 downloads per day, 1.53 Million photos being uploaded in January 2023 and having 250 million screen views in January, no mean achievement and we just must thank our users for placing their trust in us to look for the companion of their dreams.”

The reach of the app allows people to make a match with someone from anywhere in India resulting in its popularity spreading to users living beyond the metros and Tier1 cities to smaller towns and suburbs. QuackQuack prides itself on the safety of its users and ensures that there is not even a single fake profile on its app which allows its users the opportunity to make well-informed decisions and enjoy a well-researched, seamless, and satisfying experience.
