Build a Secure Cyberspace 2022” Campaign Up and Coming

(Hong Kong, 11 May 2022) The “Build a Secure Cyberspace” annual information security promotional campaign, co-organised by the Hong Kong Computer Emergency Response Team Coordination Centre (HKCERT) of the Hong Kong Productivity Council, the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer and the Hong Kong Police Force, returns once again. This year will include a “Fact Check After Receiving, Think Twice Before Sharing” Folder Design Contest to arouse cyber security awareness of the general public to observe digital etiquette and laws.

The Contest is divided into Open, Secondary School and Primary School categories. The deadline is 4 July. Participants could design a creative A4 folder, reminding the public to verify the authenticity when receiving messages, be cautious when distributing messages, and properly protect personal data against cyber criminals. Also, the “Cyber Security in Simple Ways” Webinar, will be held on 20 May. Information security experts will explore the safe use of the Internet safely and simple steps to prevent cyber attacks, sharing their experiences and insights on this subject.
