Centurion University Facilitates Fruitful Collaboration with Govt of Andhra Pradesh on Skill Development

Bhubaneswar, 23rd January 2024: Centurion University successfully hosted Sri. S Suresh Kumar IAS, Principal Secretary, to Govt. (FAC) & Commissioner of School Education, Skill Development & Training Department, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh, along with a team of officials, to its Jatni campus. The visit was aimed at understanding the vision, strategies, and practices adopted by Centurion University in imparting skills, following the esteemed request of Sri Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, seeking collaboration for the proposed Skill University of Andhra Pradesh.

Sri. S Suresh Kumar, after his comprehensive discussions with Centurion University representatives, expressed his appreciation for the institution’s innovative approach to skill development and its commitment to aligning courses with practical skills. The discussions primarily centred around the establishment of a skill university and the integration of skills into university courses.

During his stay, Sri. S Suresh Kumar was accompanied by a team of staff members from his office, enhancing the depth of the collaborative engagement. Additionally, three officers from the Odisha Skill Development Authority (OSDA) – Deputy Director, District Education Officer (DEO), and Junior Education Officer (JEO) – were actively involved in the fruitful discussions.

Centurion University remains dedicated to contributing its expertise to the proposed Skill University of Andhra Pradesh and looks forward to a continued partnership with the Government of Andhra Pradesh in advancing skill development initiatives. This visit marks a significant step towards creating a robust framework for skill enhancement and knowledge exchange between the university and the state government.
