Commencing today, Lufthansa Group connects the Indian metropolis of Bengaluru (Bangalore) with Munich, capital of Bavaria. Alongside Delhi and Mumbai, Bengaluru is the third Indian city with a direct connection for travelers via Lufthansa’s 5 star Munich hub. With a population of 12+ million, Bengaluru is India’s third-largest city, a center of the aerospace industry, as well as an important IT hub. Due to its many parks, Bengaluru, located in the southwest of the subcontinent, is also often known as India’s “Garden City”.

With a legacy in India that spans more than 90 years, the Lufthansa Group currently operates 50+ weekly frequencies between India and Europe. This Munich-Bangalore service represents Lufthansa’s strong commitment to the Indian market as Lufthansa Group’s capacity to India exceeds pre-COVID levels.
