FIIB commemorates 27 Years of excellence in management education at its convocation ceremony

New Delhi, May 04, 2023: Continuing its legacy of fostering change agents of the future, the Fortune Institute of International Business(FIIB) today honoured the unprecedented achievements of its graduating batch of 2023 during the 27th Annual Convocation Ceremony.

The preeminent gathering at the ceremony included distinguished guests such as Prof. Rajive Kumar, Member Secretary of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), who was felicitated as the guest of honour, and Mr Rohit Kapoor, CEO of Swiggy – Food Marketplace, who graced the occasion as the chief guest.

Prof. Kumar insisted on focusing more on Indian case studies in business projects. As NEP 2020 emphasises teacher training, ATAL Academy, AICTE Training And Learning, has successfully conducted three lac plus teacher training in thrust areas such as AI, Blockchain, 3D Printing, Quantum mechanics, and many new-age topics. The AICTE Member Secretary also invited FIIB to collaborate on such initiatives.

The occasion further witnessed the presence of FIIB’s accomplished alumni, Mr Mohit Gupta, Vice President of EEMEA (East Europe, Middle East & Africa), at Mastercard.

The meritorious students of the 2023 batch were also applauded for their exceptional performance, especially in the face of rising uncertainties and disruptive transformations in the management sector.

FIIB’s highly experienced faculty also acknowledged the resilience and adaptability of the batch, which played an instrumental role in evolving them into future-ready professionals. Furthermore, the ceremony also observed the presentation of medals and awards to students who exhibited remarkable academic performances.

The talented medal recipients from the PGDM course included-:

Furthermore, imparting essential managerial tips to students, Mr Rohit Kapoor, CEO of Swiggy – Food Marketplace, discussed how we could prepare for changing times by being passionate about learning and exploring things, being careful about information, and thinking critically. He insisted on reading books, which is still the most effective learning method. He further highlighted that following past patterns will not make you successful but only mediocre.

Congratulating the budding managers, Mrs Radhika Srivastava, Executive Director of FIIB, said, “The 27th Annual Convocation Ceremony honours a significant milestone for FIIB as we continue to build on our legacy of excellence in management education. We believe in nurturing professionals who possess strong managerial skills and incorporate ethical values and social responsibility. We are proud of the accomplishments of our graduates and remain committed to delivering them with the best opportunities to carve a distinctive reputation in their careers.”

FIIB has also demonstrated an unparalleled commitment towards promoting employability and assuring the career readiness of its students. The latest FIIB employability report, which underlines the achievements of the 2023 batch, has revealed a remarkable milestone of 100 per cent placements.

This echoes the institute’s persistent efforts to furnish its students with industry-relevant education and groom them into highly skilled professionals. Furthermore, the premier management institute has always been at the forefront of organising thought-provoking conferences and strategic events for substantial student exposure and networking opportunities.

The recently organised Responsibility Summit and FRC conference by FIIB served as ground-breaking platforms in designing innovative strategies for sustainable development and roadmaps to bolster work productivity.
