FOAID 2022 To Kick-Off On 7th Oct In Mumbai With CMC As Conference Partner

Mumbai, Oct 06: India’s leading marble company – Classic Marble Company (CMC) will be the conference partner at the country’s most celebrated architecture and design festival – FOAID 2022. CMC has been the key partner for FOAID’s annual events across the country since its inception. The two-day event will kick-off on 7th October at BKC and will offer a platform for design professionals to share, engage and exchange thoughts. Over the two days, the festival will host ‘Design Arena’ – a display of over 200 inspirational works comprising built, un-built, and on-going projects and ‘Design Manthan’, an inspiring conference designed as an avenue to witness the multiplicity of voices and discuss thought-provoking ideas in the architecture and design fraternity, among other events.

As part of CMC’s initiative, the speakers for the event will have Gurjit Singh Matharoo of Matharoo Associates, Sourabh Gupta of Studio Archohm, Prashant Sutaria of PSA, Reza Kabul of ARK Reza Kabul Architects, Dipen Gada of Dipen Gada & Associates, and Rohit Suraj of Urban Zen among others. The festival will also host interactive sessions with Sarah Sham of Essajees Atelier and Hiren Patel of HPA.

In addition to Design Arena and Design Manthan, the festival will also host simultaneous events including ‘Light First’ – an unveiling of thoughtful lighting dialogues curated by the most influential and knowledgeable lighting designers; Art Arena – an innovative collection of gallery spaces where talented artists put on display their finest collection of artwork; Architecture Ideas – an annual national competition crafted to recognize deserving works of the gen-next designers; and Expressions Art Installation Competition – an exhibit showcasing remarkable art pieces made by students, among others.
