Indus Towers hands over 100 plants to Gurgaon Police

Gurgaon, 8th June 2023: Indus Towers, India’s largest telecom tower company, celebrates World Environment Week (5th – 9th June 2023). As part of our contribution towards environment Indus Towers has donated 100 indoor and outdoor plants and handed over to Shri Virender Vij IPS, DCP Traffic, Gurgaon.

Shri Virender Vij (IPS) said Gurgaon Police thanks Indus Towers for their Commitment towards environment & wishes all the best in their future endeavours.

Manoj Kumar Singh, Chief Regulatory Officer & Head CSR, Indus Towers Limited said, “We are delighted to support the Gurgaon Police by contributing these plants at their premises. We support and appreciate their great efforts in our day-to-day life. We hope that these plants beautify the surroundings of the office building and create a more environment friendly atmosphere for both the officers and visitors.”

These plants include Hibiscus, Chandni, Bougaivillea, Champa and Morpankhi.

During the Environment Week, the employees of Indus Towers have been encouraged to bring recyclable materials, observe a no-printing day, use bicycles, and promote carpooling to reduce carbon emissions. All the 22 Telecom Circles where Indus is present, saw maximum participation from our employees on, ‘Recycling Day’, ‘Car Pool Day’ ‘and ‘No Printing Day’. Not just for World Environment Day, Indus Towers recognizes commitment to sustainability as pivotal for individuals to assume accountability for the environment and proactively engage in the safeguarding of our planet. Recently, the company announced its ESG goal with a campaign ‘Zero Goal Hai’ and has made a commitment to net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 in line with climate science with the SBTi.
