MB Power’s CSR wing organized a blood donation camp in districts of Madhya Pradesh

· The camp was organized with the assistance of Shahdol and Anuppur district blood banks

· 46 donors stepped forward for this noble cause

· The company’s Plant HR and Admin Head, RK Khatana was also one of the donors

07, Feb 2023: The CSR wing of MB Power, a company of Hindustan Power Group, recently organized a blood donation camp inside its plant premises-based Occupational Health Center (OHC). The camp was held on 31st January with the support of Shahdol and Anuppur district blood banks in Madhya Pradesh. In line with the company’s vision of serving the nation and its people, this initiative by MB Power’s CSR team is crucial for the local community as the cases of thalassemia are high in this locality.

Both the districts’ blood banks have benefitted significantly from this drive. A total of 46 donors stepped forward to contribute to this noble social cause. The blood donation camp gathered participation from company staff members, workers and ladies residing in the company township, ‘Deepak Nagar’.

Lauding the initiative, Mr. Basanta Kumar Mishra, COO and Plant Head, MB Power, said, “Such initiative for a noble cause is truly inspiring and beneficial for the society as it will contribute to saving lives.”

Speaking on the same, Mr. Arvind Kumar Singh, one of the donors, said, “I have been donating blood for years as it not only serves humanity but is beneficial for my health too.”

Mr. Shubhashish Chakraborty from the CSR department of MB Power coordinated this camp. The company’s Plant HR and Admin Head, Mr. RK Khatana, inspected the arrangements for the blood donation camp and in fact, was one of the donors. CMHO Anuppur, Dr. SC Roy was also present at the camp to motivate the donors. Mr. Satyam Salil, Manager CSR department, extended his gratitude to all the donors for their contribution to this noble cause.
