Same-Day Delivery platform Zippee raises from Haldiram’s & unicorn founders

National, 28th June 2023: Same-Day Delivery platform Zippee, on Wednesday, announced its new funding round from consumer giant Haldiram’s & India’s top angels.

New investors include unicorn founders like Ashneer Grover (BharatPe), Kunal Shah (CRED), Peyush Bansal (Lenskart), Prashant Pitti (EaseMyTrip), Aakash Anand (Bella Vita Organic) along with venture capital firms like FounderBank Capital, PiperSerica, & Misfits Fund.

Founded in 2021 by delivery kitchens entrepreneur Madhav Kasturia, Zippee helps D2C brands enable Amazon-like same-day deliveries for their customers on their own websites. It partners with well-known brands across F&B, beauty personal care, wellness, & pet care such as The Face Shop, Epigamia, Clinikally, Power Gummies, Anveshan, SEPOY&CO, Haagen Daaz among others.

Brands can connect their online stores to its E-commerce Fulfillment platform in just a few clicks & kickstart Same-Day Deliveries through the Zippee Darkstore network across India.

“If brands incorporate same-day deliveries into their customer journeys, they see upticks in web conversions & repeat purchases by up-to 95%. Every forward-thinking D2C brand in India today wants SDD for their customers— but lacks the resources, technology, & infrastructure. That’s where Zippee steps in.

We’re excited to have an icon like Haldiram’s & more of our country’s best-known founders place their conviction towards our mission to democratize Amazon-grade logistics for 100,000 E-commerce brands by 2025,” Zippee founder Madhav Kasturia said, in a statement.

Formerly known as ZFW Dark Stores, the Gurgaon-based startup has previously raised $1.7M in funding from US-based logistics fund Riso Capital, South Asia Tech Partners, Archana Priyadarshini, & founders such as Arjun Vaidya (Dr. Vaidya’s), Mohit Sadaani (The Moms Co), Ashutosh Valani (Beardo), Rahul Jain (Epigamia), Jasminder Gulati (NowFloats), Bharat Sethi (Rage Coffee) among others.

With dark-store operations across all major metros, Zippee plans to use the capital to expand same-day deliveries to 15 cities, scale hiring, & strengthen its technology platform.

According to a research report, Indian D2C market is witnessing explosive growth & will hit $100 billion in size by 2025– as more consumers move to online shopping post-COVID.

The idea here is for brands to reach more customers in the fastest possible time while solving for customer experiences, high RTOs, & profitability.
