Gurugram, 30th January 2024: Taj City Centre Gurugram proudly announces the appointment of Chef Prajuab Shoosridam as the esteemed Thai Master Chef at the Thai Pavilion. Chef Prajuab has been an integral part of the Taj Group of Hotels since 2006, showcasing his exceptional culinary skills and passion for Thai cuisine.
Hailing from Phatthalung, southern Thailand, Chef Juab’s journey in the world of gastronomy began at the ‘Thai Restaurant’ in Barn Thai, Phuket, after his high school days. Over the years, Chef Prajuab has honed his craft in various resorts and hotels across Thailand and Malaysia, including renowned establishments like Karon Villa and Royal Wing, Phuket, and The Datai, Langkawi. His culinary prowess has allowed him to serve distinguished personalities such as the late Nelson Mandela and Jacques Chirac.
Chef Prajuab expresses his enthusiasm about his new role, saying, “Joining Taj City Centre Gurugram as the Thai Master Chef is an exciting opportunity. I am thrilled to bring the authentic flavours of Thai cuisine to guests at Thai Pavilion. My goal is to showcase the rich culinary heritage of Thailand, emphasising the perfect balance of flavours that make Thai food truly special.”
As the face of the Thai Pavilion at Taj City Centre Gurugram, Chef Prajuab draws inspiration from his roots and family, emphasising the importance of technique and authenticity in any cuisine. According to him, the essence of Thai cuisine lies in the perfect balance of five fundamental flavors – hot (spicy), sour, sweet, salty, and bitter.
With an illustrious seven-year tenure at Thai Pavilion previously, Chef Prajuab has artfully preserved Thai culinary classics while introducing innovative flavours to the menu. His expertise brings forth hidden culinary treasures and a repertoire of unique delicacies, enriching the dining experience for patrons.
