U.S. STRENGTHENS INDO-ASIA-PACIFIC DEFENSE AND SECURITY PARTNERSHIPS AT DEFENCE SERVICES ASIA & NATSEC 2022

Kuala Lumpur and Waldwick, N.J. / March 25, 2022 — When Defence Services Asia (DSA) 2022 opens Monday in Kuala Lumpur, the close cooperation among the United States and its allies in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region, particularly the host country, Malaysia, will be prominently on display.

The biennial event, one of the world’s largest and most diversified defense and security business gatherings, reflects the region’s growing economies and geopolitical influence. It is expected to draw some 25,000 trade visitors including 350 foreign VIP delegations March 28-31 at the Malaysia International Trade & Exhibition Centre (MITEC) in Kuala Lumpur.

The collective presence of major American manufacturers, technology innovators, and a wide scope of supply-chain leaders exhibiting at this year’s show is a strong indication of how important the Indo-Asia-Pacific region is to the United States, and that buyers and influencers throughout the region are looking to the U.S. for innovative solutions and partners to help ensure their economic and homeland security.

In this edition of the show, 15 U.S. companies are exhibiting in the USA Partnership Pavilion, organized by Kallman Worldwide, Inc., in coordination with numerous government agencies, including the U.S. Commercial Service and Office of Defense Corporation. Kallman has been organizing U.S. companies at industry trade events throughout the Indo-Asia-Pacific for decades, including its first DSA in 1988.

DSA is seen as an opportunity to strengthen the already excellent relationship between the U.S. military and the Malaysian Armed Forces, and it presents opportunities for all visiting military delegations seeking best-in-class capabilities. The United States believes in the importance of building long-lasting partnerships that promote security and prosperity, including through global trade.

President and CEO Tom Kallman says the strong American participation in the USA Partnership Pavilion reflects a global trend. “Now more than ever, success in international trade comes from partnership and teamwork. Thirty years since we first organized U.S. exhibitors at DSA, the new USA Partnership Pavilion sharpens our focus on helping advance America’s national security and economic interests by building stronger relationships with our international customers,” Kallman said. “Many of our exhibitors already have significant business partnerships and operations in Malaysia and across the region. In the years to come, many more will.”

Located prominently in the show’s Exhibition Hall 3, the Pavilion is a full-service business destination: an efficient location for buyers to meet more U.S. suppliers, an on-site operations center for exhibitors to maximize their exposure and impact at the show, and a networking hub for all to share ideas and insights.

USA Partnership Pavilion exhibitors are featured in Online Expos’– Kallman’s partner company — Global Aerospace SHOWCASE along with over 500 companies already exhibiting on the platform. Kallman also offers an interactive floorplan of exhibitors at DSA & NATSEC 2022 with a searchable Pavilion directory, plus interactive tools to connect interested industry professionals and media around the world to American suppliers, even if they can’t attend DSA 2022 in person.
