Value of securities held in dematerialized form at NSDL reaches ₹500 lakh crore (US $ 6 Trillion)

Hyderabad/Mumbai, 18th October 2024: National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL), one of the largest and leading securities depositories in the world, reaches a historic milestone of ₹500 lakh crore i.e., US $ 6 Trillion in value of assets held in custody. It took 18 years to reach ₹100 lakh crore in June 2014, another 6 years to reach ₹200 Lakh crore in November 2020 and within a short span of 4 years to reach ₹500 Lakh crore in September 2024.

On achieving this landmark, Mr. S. Gopalan, Interim MD of NSDL said, We are very happy and proud to have reached this significant milestone of reaching US $ 6 Trillion in value of assets held in custody. We thank investors, market participants, regulators and other stakeholders on this historic occasion.
