Vishnu Menaria has also alleged that his father’s name was misused by the Oswals for their property and business dealings.

Vishnu alleges that his father has been missing for several days. He also said that his family was forced to sign blank checks and were threatened by the lawyer of the Oswal family. Vishnu has alleged that the blank checks were filled and deposited in a bank, which was probably to trap his father.

What is the Oswal family saying?

Industrialist Pankaj Oswal, father of the kidnapped Vasundra Oswal, has stated that his daughter has been falsely accused of kidnapping and attempted murder. Pankaj Oswal said that the charges against his daughter were fabricated by his former employee. According to Pankaj Oswal, the former employee had stolen valuables. Also, the employee had taken a USD 200,000 loan with the Oswal family standing as the guarantors.

The false accusations were made after the Oswals refused to take ownership of the loan and repay it. It was a way used by the employee to evade his financial obligations. Pankaj Oswal says that his daughter and family members are being subjected to corporate and political manipulation. Pankaj Oswal has pointed out the potentially illegal and unfair arrest of his daughter. He has made an appeal to the United Nations and also written an open letter addressed to the President of Uganda.

Latest reports indicate that Vishnu Menaria is currently in Tanzania, where his father was taken after the alleged kidnapping. Vishnu wants to secure freedom for his father and would also be negotiating the release of Vasundra Oswal, as a quid pro quo. However, these developments are not yet confirmed by any official government agencies.

Pankaj Oswal accused of syphoning company funds
