Maharashtra Polls: Mahayuti Launches Comprehensive Manifesto, Rs 2100 Support for Women Under ‘Ladki Bahin Yojna

As the Maharashtra Assembly elections draw near, the BJP, Shiv Sena, and NCP alliance has unveiled an ambitious manifesto aimed at tackling some of the state’s most pressing economic and societal issues. The agenda, designed to resonate with a broad range of voters, places a strong emphasis on improving the financial stability of key demographic groups, including women, farmers, senior citizens, and the youth. With promises spanning enhanced welfare schemes, job creation, and infrastructure development, the manifesto outlines a comprehensive vision for Maharashtra’s growth.

A key highlight of the alliance’s manifesto is the pledge to increase the monthly payment under the Ladki Bahin Yojana for women from Rs. 1500 to Rs. 2100. This move, which targets over two and a half crore registered women beneficiaries, is a clear attempt to secure the women’s vote by providing direct financial support. By prioritizing women’s financial empowerment, the alliance seeks to address gender disparities and promote economic independence across the state.

Turning to the agricultural sector, the manifesto dedicates significant attention to improving the conditions of farmers, who form the backbone of Maharashtra’s economy. The alliance has promised to waive loans for farmers, alongside increasing the annual payout under the Farmer Samman Yojana from Rs. 12,000 to Rs. 15,000. Additionally, a 20 percent subsidy on the Minimum Support Price (MSP) is included, aiming to enhance farmers’ incomes and stimulate agricultural productivity, addressing the economic struggles many farmers face.

The manifesto also emphasizes support for senior citizens and youth, further reinforcing the alliance’s welfare-focused approach. Among its promises, the alliance vows to raise the old age pension from Rs. 1500 to Rs. 2100, ensuring greater financial security for Maharashtra’s elderly. Alongside this, it includes a pledge to create 25 lakh jobs and to provide monthly stipends of Rs. 10,000 to 10 lakh students under the Vidyavetan Yojana, reflecting a strong commitment to investing in the state’s future workforce.

On the infrastructure front, the manifesto outlines plans for the construction of Panand roads across 45,000 villages, a move intended to improve rural connectivity. The document also addresses the needs of Anganwadi and Asha workers by proposing a salary of Rs. 15,000 per month, along with insurance coverage. This initiative aims to support women’s employment and contribute to the economic upliftment of rural workers. Additionally, the manifesto promises a 30 percent reduction in electricity bills, with a focus on promoting renewable energy sources, particularly solar power, to ensure long-term sustainability.

Titled “Vision Maharashtra @ 2029,” the manifesto presents a roadmap for the state’s economic future, with a strong focus on renewable energy and key infrastructure projects. The proposed construction of the Atal Setu, Samriddhi Highway, and various metro developments in major cities underscores the government’s commitment to driving modernization and enhancing connectivity. The alliance’s slogan, “Hard work done, now the next preparation,” encapsulates its focus on both present achievements and future aspirations.

Through this wide-ranging manifesto, which balances immediate financial relief with long-term development goals, the BJP, Shiv Sena, and NCP alliance is positioning itself as a forward-thinking force dedicated to the state’s economic and social well-being. By addressing the diverse needs of Maharashtra’s people, the manifesto seeks to unite the electorate behind a vision of progress, sustainability, and empowerment for all.
