Bengaluru,31st July, 2025 | Australia’s University of Wollongong (UOW) India has announced the Women Leaders in FinTech & Data Analytics Scholarship, which offers a 50% reduction in tuition fees for high-achieving female students pursuing a postgraduate degree in Financial Technology, Financial Technology (Extension), or Computing (Data Analytics) programs
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be Indian citizens, commence their studies in 2025 or 2026, and have a strong academic record with a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 75 or above (or equivalent). The scholarship is not available to students who are already receiving other tuition-based scholarships, bursaries, or sponsorships, except for stipend-based support.
This scholarship is designed to encourage more women to pursue careers in high-growth fields where digital skills and leadership are in demand. It also aims to ease financial pressures and open opportunities for future women leaders in tech and data.
Shivangi Mishra has been named the 2025 recipient of the Women Leaders in FinTech Scholarship this year. The scholarship was first awarded last year to Cerin Elsa Joji, a Master of FinTech (Extension) student.
Nimay Kalyani, Campus Director of UOW India, said the scholarship reflects the university’s broader vision to promote diversity in emerging industries.
“We’re committed to creating opportunities for women to thrive in areas where they’ve historically been underrepresented. Through this scholarship, we hope to reduce financial barriers and support a new generation of female leaders in the rapidly increasing field of technology and analytics.”
UOW India also offers a range of other scholarships for its students, including the High-Achiever Scholarship with a 50% tuition fee reduction, a 30% High-Achiever Scholarship, a 30% Merit Scholarship, and a 20% Early Bird Scholarship.
