Bengaluru -August 12, 2025 – Employers worldwide are placing greater emphasis on mind-set driven abilities over technical expertise, according to Vedanta Chairman Anil Agarwal.
Referring to a World Economic Forum survey, he said analytical thinking ranks as the most desired skill, followed by resilience, agility, adaptability, leadership, social influence, and creative thinking. “In a changing world, driven by rapid technological advances, soft skills are emerging as the key for job seekers,” Mr. Agarwal noted.
He highlighted that India’s youth and women are naturally gifted in these areas, and should leverage them both in careers and in entrepreneurship. These qualities, he added, are equally critical for those looking to create jobs rather than only seeking them, offering unique rewards despite the risks involved.
