Nationwide Release: 2nd September, 2025 —

Global Institute of Management and Technology (GIMT) is set to organize an internal hackathon on September 9, 2025, as a part of the preliminary selection process for the prestigious Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2025.

This internal event aims to identify and nurture innovative minds from within the campus, providing a platform for students to showcase their creativity, problem-solving skills, and technological expertise. Students from all engineering and management departments will participate in the hackathon, making it a truly interdisciplinary event.

The hackathon will challenge students to develop innovative solutions to real-world problems across various domains. Participants will work in teams and compete to secure a place in the national-level Smart India Hackathon 2025, an initiative by the Government of India to promote a culture of product innovation and problem-solving among students. Top-performing teams will be shortlisted to represent GIMT at the SIH 2025.

Dr. Sudipto Bhattacharyya, Principal of GIMT, expressed enthusiasm about the event. “The internal hackathon is a great opportunity for students to unleash their creativity and contribute to solving national challenges. We look forward to some brilliant ideas emerging from this event.”

Adding to this, Subhankar Das, Executive Chairman of Global Knowledge Campus, emphasized the Institute’s vision: “At Global Knowledge Campus, we strongly believe in nurturing innovation and problem-solving skills among our students. The internal hackathon is not just a competition, but a platform for young minds to showcase their talent and think beyond boundaries. We are confident that this initiative will inspire future leaders and innovators.”

The event reflects GIMT’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and industry readiness among its students.
