New Delhi, October 27, 2025: Jindal (India) Limited, part of the prestigious B.C. Jindal Group and one of the leading downstream steel products manufacturers in India, today announced that it has set up additional colour-coated manufacturing capacity, enabling improved service to the country’s high-end white goods manufacturers. With this move, the company expects a 20 per cent jump in its revenue in the current financial year.
B C Jindal Group’s Jindal (India) Limited will supply premium coated steel sheets through its Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) channel partners to cater to the requirements of leading white goods industry brands, including LG, Whirlpool, and Godrej, to name a few. Jindal (India) Limited’s premium sheet offering will be used in the manufacturing of goods like washing machines, air conditioners, and other home appliances.
“This move is in line with our endeavour to establish a strong presence in India’s fast-growing white goods market and further strengthen our presence across key industries in the country. In our premium product portfolio, colour-coated steel sheets currently account for around 70% of total sales volume. We expect this segment’s contribution to increase further, reaching nearly 75% by FY26. Our steel product manufacturing prowess, coupled with our partners’ expertise in servicing OEM customers, will ensure high-quality and reliable products for the white goods industry,” said a Jindal (India) spokesperson.
Earlier this month, BC Jindal Group’s Jindal (India) Limited announced the commissioning of 0.6 million MT of downstream steel capacity expansion at its manufacturing facilities in West Bengal. The commencement of commissioning of the new cold rolling complex marks the completion of a major part of the expansion. This capacity expansion will lead to a 60% increase over the company’s existing 1 million MT per annum capacity. With an investment of Rs 1500 crore, the company expects to achieve a significant increase in its sales revenue in the coming years.
The consumer durables industry in India is experiencing robust growth. According to CII, the Indian market is projected to become the fourth-largest globally by 2027. In addition, the sector is also benefiting from the government’s initiatives, such as the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme.
