Born on 21 November 1993 in Banka, Bihar, Shreyash grew up in a humble yet culturally vibrant environment. His father, Sujit Kumar Tiwary, and mother, Late Punam Tiwary, always encouraged his early curiosity for sound and rhythm despite limited means. He has two sisters, Shreeja Shandilya and Shrestha Shandilya, who have been his constant source of support. Though he began his education at Saint Joseph’s School, Banka, unforeseen personal circumstances led him to leave school midway through his 10th grade — a decision that only intensified his determination to pursue a musical path. In 2011, he moved to Mumbai to turn his passion into purpose, beginning a journey filled with challenges, uncertainty, and unshakable belief in his art.

To strengthen his craft, Shreyash studied at the Ajivasan Music Academy, founded by Padma Shri Suresh Wadkar, where he learned the foundational elements of performance and sound. He then pursued a diploma in Music Production and Audio Engineering from SAE Institute, Australia, followed by a certification in Music Theory from Trinity College London. His musical sensibilities were further shaped under the guidance of Ustad Mehboob Khan, a renowned sitar maestro, whose mentorship changed the way Shreyash understood music. Reflecting on his training, he once shared, “Guruji taught me how to place every sur with precision, so that each note not only sounds perfect but feels alive.”

Over the years, Shreyash has built an impressive portfolio as a composer, lyricist, and producer. His most recognized works include “Tujhse Milke Ye Baawra” (featuring Krishna Beura and Anweshaa), “Sholon Se Bhara” (with Suraj Jagan), “Hey Ram” (ft. Shweta Pandit), “Maa”, “Kyun Barse Naina”, “Pratham Kare” (sung by Padma Shri Anup Jalota), “Enlightenment”, “Namaskaratha Mantra”, and “Ragoon”. His compositions are marked by a deep emotional resonance and a focus on melody over machinery. Notably, Indian Idol fame Rishi Singh collaborated with Shreyash as part of a special musical project dedicated to cricketer Virat Kohli, where Shreyash served as the project’s creative supervisor — a testament to his growing reputation within India’s independent music landscape.

Beyond his work as a composer, Shreyash has built a foundation for others to grow. He is the founder of SoulFul Musik Academy, a Mumbai-based institution designed to mentor aspiring artists through personalized learning. His ventures have expanded under the banner of SoulFul 1 World, encompassing SoulFul Musik Studio, SoulFul Musik Jampad, SoulFul Musik Store, and HS Musik Company. Together, these platforms form a creative ecosystem that provides recording facilities, mentorship, and distribution opportunities for young artists. His philosophy, “If you have a musical dream, we have a musical way,” reflects his belief that true art flourishes when shared.

In 2022, Shreyash was recognized at the Iconic Brands of Maharashtra Awards for his contribution to independent music and creative education. Despite the recognition, he remains grounded, often crediting his parents, teachers, and students for his growth. He continues to guide a new generation of musicians — ensuring they find the direction he once sought alone.
