Cosmo Foundation Extends Winter Relief to Delhi’s Slum Children Through Social Partnerships

New Delhi, December 5, 2025: As North India confronts one of its sharpest winter spells in recent years, the season’s brunt is felt most acutely across Delhi’s sprawling slum clusters, where inadequate housing and limited resources magnify the impact of the cold. With temperatures dipping and early winter winds sweeping through vulnerable neighbourhoods, the need for timely humanitarian support has grown increasingly urgent.

Responding to this reality, Cosmo Foundation, the community outreach initiative of Cosmo First Limited, launched a “Blanket & Meal Distribution Drive” on Friday, December 5, 2025, aimed at supporting children residing in slums. Executed in partnership with two prominent social and spiritual institutions – Spread A Smile India and ISKCON New Delhi – the initiative sought to address immediate seasonal hardship through targeted and meaningful assistance.

Held at the Spread A Smile India office in Munirka, New Delhi, the Foundation distributed 500 blankets to childrens from nearby slum communities. The effort served not merely as material support but as a well-calibrated intervention aligned with the organisation’s broader commitment to community upliftment.

Complementing the distribution of blankets, Cosmo Foundation also facilitated a meal for 500 slum children, delivered in collaboration with ISKCON New Delhi. The meals, served on-site as a gesture of care during the demanding early winter weeks – bringing together spiritual service and social responsibility in a unified effort.

 Ms. Yamini Jaipuria, Managing Trustee, Cosmo Foundation, underscored the significance of the initiative, stating, “Delhi’s winter poses acute challenges for children living in under-resourced environments. Our effort today is an essential step toward ensuring their well-being during this difficult period. Through this drive, we reaffirm our commitment to safeguarding every child with warmth, dignity, and meaningful support.”

 Acknowledging the partnership, a spokesperson from ISKCON New Delhi remarked, “We extend our gratitude to Cosmo Foundation for joining us in this endeavour. Their support enabled us to serve children who often face winter with minimal protection. Together, we were able to deliver comfort, dignity, and care.”

The blankets distributed today will make a tangible difference to the slum children we serve, many of whom struggle through the winter without adequate resources.
