CFTI Listed on NSE’s Social Stock Exchange to Scale Grassroots Impact Across India

Mumbai, 5th March 2026: The Centre for Transforming India (CFTI) has now been listed on the Social Stock Exchange (SSE) of the National Stock Exchange of India, marking a significant milestone in its journey to scale rural grassroots development. With this listing, CFTI has become the 79th NGO to be empanelled as an approved partner organization. This recognition further strengthens its credibility as a transparent institution committed to strong governance and measurable impact. It requires approximately ₹3 crore to ₹5 crore over three years to holistically transform a single village through sustained, outcome-driven interventions. With over 6 lakh villages across India, our long-term goal is to transform at least 1,000 villages by 2050, building scalable models of grassroots change.

With this, CFTI is able to use SSE to access performance-linked philanthropy, structured reporting frameworks, and increased credibility, resulting in long-term, measurable social impact at the community level and trust between implementers and donors. Due to the multi-year investment needed to transform an entire village, the SSE provides a means for long-term capital alignment with measurable community outcomes. By providing trust between the implementer and the contributor, the SSE has established a higher set of benchmarks for measuring impact and ensuring accountability.

Speaking on the milestone, CFTI’s Founder and Mentor Trustee, Mrs. Chitralekha Nrupal Patil, said, “CFTI is a grassroots-level movement with strong community connection, and the listing demonstrates our ongoing commitment to developing and scaling through the use of ethical business practices. Our long-term vision is to change 1,000 villages by 2050 through implementing deep, ‘last mile’ educational solutions that address not only enrollments but also provide access, retention, measurable learning outcomes, and community respect for all students. Our strategy involves building sustainable, replicable, and evidence-based grassroots models that can help set the standard for rural education in India. Ultimately, our objective is for CFTI to be the most trusted and result-oriented grassroots implementation entity working towards the educational sector, where these outcomes will not only occur once but rather produce community-supported results.’’

This is a major milestone in CFTI’s structured growth, governance, and scalable impact. The organization continues to focus on achieving measurable results (change) at the village level so that development does not happen immediately but will be community-led and last long-term.
