BML Munjal University hosts Principals’ Roundtable in Hyderabad to reimagine education in the AI era

Hyderabad, March 30, 2026: BML Munjal University, a Hero Group initiative, hosted the Hyderabad edition of its Principals’ Roundtable as part of its nationwide series, Reclaiming the Soul of Education: AI, Pedagogy, Purpose & Well-being. The initiative brings together school leaders to reflect on the evolving role of education amid rapid technological advancements and the growing influence of AI.

The closed-door discussion saw participation from leading principals across Hyderabad, including Ms. Lydia Christina, Canary The School; Ms. Anuraga Rudraraju and Ms. Meeta Kulkarni, PAGE Junior College; Ms. Trupti Rao, The Premia Academy; Ms. K. Vinitha, P. Obul Reddy Public School; and Dr. Emmadi Naveen Kumar, Ganges Valley School.

The roundtable focused on how AI is reshaping learning, the need for ethical and responsible usage, and the importance of balancing technology with human-centric education. Participants emphasized that while AI is transforming learning patterns, the role of educators remains critical in fostering critical thinking, emotional well-being, and meaningful student engagement. The discussion also highlighted the importance of experiential learning and evolving pedagogy, with educators increasingly taking on the role of mentors.

Speaking on the initiative, Dr. Arindam Banerjee, Dean, School of Liberal Studies, BML Munjal University, said, “AI is fundamentally changing how we learn and engage with knowledge, making it essential for educators to adapt with clarity and purpose. Platforms like this roundtable enable meaningful dialogue on integrating technology responsibly, while ensuring that the human essence of education remains at the core.”

The Hyderabad edition is part of BMU’s ongoing effort to build a national platform for dialogue among educators, focusing on aligning pedagogy and purpose with the realities of a technology-driven future.
