Hallyu Fans Emerge as Mainstream Cultural Leaders in India: KCCI Hosts Specialised ‘K-Beauty Masterclass’

As Korean pop culture has solidified its position as a dominant mainstream trend among India’s youth, the influence and sophistication of local Hallyu fans have reached an unprecedented height. In response to this growing demand for deeper cultural insight and refined aesthetics, the King Sejong Institute at the Korean Cultural Centre India (KCCI) today inaugurated its exclusive three-day ‘K-Beauty and K-Trend Makeup Masterclass,’ which is being held from June 29 to July 1, 2026.

Moving beyond the passive consumption of K-pop and K-dramas, Indian Hallyu fans have evolved into cultural pioneers who actively embrace and lead the adoption of Korean lifestyle and beauty routines. This masterclass is designed as a premium program to cater to this evolution, offering participants a comprehensive journey—from the historical rise of K-Beauty to the latest makeup techniques currently dominating global trends.

The program is led by a renowned Korean beauty expert, the CEO of a premium beauty academy and a certified Personal Color consultant. With an extensive background in television production, high-fashion editorial work, advertising campaigns, and international K-Beauty education, the instructor will provide high-level, customized training tailored to the discerning tastes of India’s vibrant Hallyu community.

The highlight of the masterclass is the ‘Hands-on Personal Color Analysis Session,’ designed to satisfy the requirements of the local fans. Participants will go beyond mere imitation, learning the scientific principles of how individual skin tones, eye colours, and facial features influence makeup and styling choices. Furthermore, through live demonstrations and interactive practice sessions, attendees will receive personalized coaching, allowing them to internalise the core philosophy of K-Beauty: celebrating individuality while enhancing one’s natural beauty.
