From AI to Robotics, Students Showcase Their Technology Skills

Innovation Takes Flight at Tech Fest 2026

ASUS India–Vidya Foundation initiative gives students a platform for hands-on learning

Mumbai (Anil Bedag): A vibrant blend of technology and creativity was witnessed at Vidya Tech Fest 2026, where students showcased projects based on artificial intelligence, robotics, coding, Arduino, STEM and digital innovation. Organized in partnership with ASUS India and Vidya Foundation, the event’s key highlight was the inauguration of a new Tinkering Lab at Vidya’s Powai Centre.

Eric Ou, Regional Director, South Asia, ASUS India, inaugurated the lab and said, “For students, simply learning concepts is not enough. They should also have opportunities to turn their ideas into real-world projects.”

At the Tinkering Lab, students will be able to learn electronics, coding, IoT and robotics through experiments and hands-on projects. At the Tech Fest, students displayed projects developed through classroom learning, bootcamps and hands-on sessions.

The digital literacy initiative by ASUS and Vidya Foundation has reached more than 12,000 children and 650 young people across Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa over the past year. The initiative is now being expanded beyond digital education through the Tinkering Lab, connecting students with practical technology learning. The event concluded with an award ceremony, where students were recognized and felicitated for their hard work, creativity and innovative projects.
