Global Alliance for Mass Entrepreneurship collaborates with AIC-IIM Nagpur Foundation for Entrepreneurship Development; aims to unlock the potential of young green entrepreneurs in India

● The collaboration will help build a platform which allows the youth to convert their green ideas into working business solutions

India, February 13, 2024: Global Alliance for Mass Entrepreneurship (GAME) and AIC-IIM Nagpur Foundation for Entrepreneurship Development (AIC-INFED), today announced that both parties have signed an MoU to enter into a strategic partnership to help catalyse the development of young green entrepreneurs across Maharashtra, who in turn, will create green job opportunities in their communities. These young entrepreneurs will be given the opportunity to incubate their products and services as well as receive mentorship and access to information related to relevant schemes and policies under the scope of this collaboration.

The collaboration between Global Alliance for Mass Entrepreneurship and AIC – IIM Nagpur Foundation for Entrepreneurship Development aims to empower the youth to innovate in the fields of agriculture, fisheries, forest produce, manufacturing-green processes, renewable energy, eco-tourism, waste management, green construction, and water management. The initiative’s design principles underscore the cultivation of young green entrepreneurs, requiring participants to enrol in GAME’s Climate Kranti program. Post enrollment, the entrepreneurs will transition to the pre-incubation phase upon approval by an online expert. GAME and AIC-INFED will also provide physical/virtual/hybrid incubation modes. WeNaturalists will be the implementation partner for the program.

Mr. Madan Padaki, Co-Founder, Global Alliance for Mass Entrepreneurship, expressed his anticipation about the collaboration, stating, “Climate Kranti is a transformative initiative that aligns with our mission to empower individuals to become impactful entrepreneurs. By joining forces with AIC-INFED, we aim to catalyse a wave of green entrepreneurship among the youth, fostering sustainable practices and innovative solutions for a cleaner and greener future.”

Prof. Bhimaraya Metri, Chairman, AIC-INFED said, “At IIM Nagpur, we believe in the power of education, innovation, and collaboration to drive positive change. This collaboration with AIC-INFED and GAME for the Climate Kranti program aligns with our commitment to nurturing socially responsible leaders. Together, we aim to empower the youth of Maharashtra, encouraging them to harness their entrepreneurial spirit for the betterment of our environment.”

By focusing on individuals between the ages of 19 and 26, the program aims to not only create green job opportunities but also to inspire a new generation of environmentally conscious leaders. Both parties will also work on developing a model that can be replicable across states and easily adopted by other members of the ecosystem.
