ACT Fibernet Launches an Industry-first Initiative to Empower Senior Citizens in the Digital Era

With the senior citizens at the heart of the initiative, ACT strives to resolve queries for them, ranging from setting up Smart TV and basic apps like Skype, along with support in online shopping, booking doctor’s appointments, etc.

India, 23rd May 2024: To bridge the digital generation gap, ACT Fibernet (Atria Convergence Technologies Ltd), India’s largest fiber-focused wired broadband internet service provider, has unveiled the ACT Senior Citizen Program, an inspiring initiative that empowers the elderly by simplifying digital experiences. Under this free-of-cost program, ACT support teams help senior citizens with everyday tasks involving technology, ranging from setting up the Smart TV to basic app configuration, arranging Skype calls, online shopping, and booking medical consultations, among others.

In the rapidly transforming world of technology, the elderly feel left behind due to their lack of knowledge of the latest tech-based solutions and gadgets. The ACT Senior Citizen Program is a CSR initiative that resolves these unique challenges with the deployment of on-ground support and call centre teams, that are specially trained to handle every query in a personalized manner with patience, understanding, and expertise.

ACT has made it convenient for senior citizens to avail of this service. All they have to do is register with ACT as senior citizens from their mobile number. The customers above the age of 65 are then routed through a dedicated queue to ensure a smooth transition and client handling.
