CM of Sikkim interacts with 1300 individuals of Upper Burtuk constituency during Jan Bhet Karyakram

New Delhi, Jan 22: The Jan Bhet Karyakram for 28 Upper Burtuk constituency, under Gangtok district came to a conclusion today, with the final leg held at Ani Gumpa complex in Luing-Ranka.

Jan Bhet Karyakram is an effort to take governance at the doorstep of the people of every constituency of the state. This initiative is delivery mechanism where instead of people visiting the office, the office visits the public.

The public interaction today began at 10 am and ended by 9:30 pm.

Through the course of the day, Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang held uninterrupted one-to-one interaction with over 1300 individuals, listening to their concerns and providing necessary assistance.

In the first half, priority was given to people having health concerns and senior citizens, while the younger lot waited patiently for their turn.

The day-long public interaction programme was organised seamlessly through coordinated effort from the Chief Minister’s Office, various line departments and dedicated volunteers.

The Jan Bhet Karyakram had the presence of Zilla Adhyaksha Gangtok, Mayor, Gangtok Municipal Corporation(GMC), Panchayats, Councillor, GMC, HoDs, District Collector Gangtok, other senior officers of various line departments, police personnel and members of the media.
