Chiplun: The Pahile Majhe Kartavya (PMK) Foundation recently hosted the ‘I Inspire Awards’ program at the LokShahir Anna Bhau Sathe Hall in Byculla to recognize and honor both cancer survivors and stalwarts who have made significant contributions to the cancer ecosystem in the country. Dr Ehsan Shaikh, a Consultant Head and Neck Oncosurgeon at Oncolifecare Cancer Centre in Chiplun, was felicitated with the “Cancer Warrior Award” at PMK Foundation’s award ceremony. The award was presented to him by the honorable Governor of Maharashtra, Shri Ramesh Bais, in recognition of the outstanding work done by Dr Shaikh in head and neck surgical oncology within the Konkan region. Notably, Dr. Ehsan Shaikh has been conducting a weekly free cancer screening program at Shaikh Multispeciality Hospital in Mahad for the past eighteen months and improving the lives of cancer patients by helping them with timely intervention and saving lives.
