Dr. Utkarsh Trivedi is an effervescent and extremely talented Homoeopathic doctor of Raipur, a young Homoeopath of 32 years age, who has recently gained international recognition for his consistent and top-notch contribution to the field of Homoeopathy in the capital city. Dr. Utkarsh has brought laurels to Chhattisgarh by getting the prestigious ‘Pride of Homeopathy’ award at the World Health Summit organized in Dubai under the aegis of the renowned pharmaceutical company Burnett Homeopathy Pvt Ltd. In fact, he has been the only homoeopath from entire Chhattisgarh and among 150 top physicians in the world to get this coveted award, which speaks volumes about his skills and expertise. Adding another feather in his cap, this dedicated doctor had been felicitated and awarded by former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh for his indefatigable and selfless service during peak corona times. Dr. Utkarsh, who had completed BHMS from Raipur Homeopathic Medical College (Ayush University), has been practicing homoeopathy for the last 6 years and has treated a myriad of different patients suffering from a range of different physical and mental illnesses. In a very short span of time, by his faultless diagnosis of diseases and impeccable prescription of medications, he has been successful in carving a niche of his own and has been reckoned as one of the best, most trustworthy, and most reliable Homoeopaths of Raipur. This accomplished physician has made a big name in the city by treating bones and joints issues, diabetes, hypertension, kidney disorders, leukoderma, respiratory disorders, skin diseases, gynecological disorders, thyroid gland disorders, brain disorders, and mental health issues like anxiety, depression, migraine, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, and more through Homoeopathy. When asked whether he always dreamt to become a doctor? Recollecting his old memories, this industrious person answered, “To be frank, I did not aspire to be a doctor initially. I had some other plans. But, one incident changed my entire career path. In fact, my father Dr. Vidyakant Trivedi ji is a famous Homoeopathic doctor. One day, during my school’s summer vacation, my father called me and asked me to manage the reception of his clinic, as there was too much patient flow. That day at the clinic, I noticed that Homoeopathic medicines, which are very tiny round-shaped sweet medicines, are proving to be highly effective in curing even serious ailments without any surgeries. I was emotionally touched to see that Homeopathy can be instrumental in bringing a smile to the faces of suffering humanity. That very day, I made up my mind to become a Homoeopath. After completing of my school, in 2009 I got admission to a prominent Homoeopathic medical college. From 2009 to 2016, in the morning hours, I used to attend my college classes and in evenings I had undergone focused training without fail under my erudite father. I learned a lot from my father and regard him as my guru and my idol” said Dr. Utkarsh.
It is rightly said that Rome was not built in a day. Dr. Utkarsh had not been a famous entity right from day one. It was only in the course of time, by his sheer hard work, dedication, spot-on diagnosis, and treatment which had earned him credibility and reliability amongst the patients. Sharing his experiences of struggle days, this laborious medico, whose elder brother Dr. Upendra Trivedi is also a Homeopathic doctor, said, “After completion of my BHMS at the age of 26, I started my own clinic named Dr. Trivedi’s Homeopathy at Purani Basti, Raipur. In my first two years of practice, there was very less patient footfall. Very few patients came to consult me. You won’t believe it, it was on the seventh day since the day I opened my clinic, I came across my first patient, and on the tenth day, I treated my second patient. Mine earnings from the clinic in the first month was only Rs 5,500 out of which Rs 4,000 was the rental amount that I had to pay. But, I did not get dissuaded by this unsatisfactory result and poor response in the starting phase of my practice”.
Further telling about his career journey, this diligent doctor said, “Covid pandemic time has been a turning point in my career, and I had treated and cured around 20,000 patients during Corona waves with a daily OPD of around 400 patients. Medicines prescribed by me even stabilized those serious corona patients whose oxygen saturation level was as low as 50. Slowly but surely, patients started relying and trusting on my line of treatment. I had worked tirelessly from early morning to late night hours to cure the ailing patients. That time, I had been oozing with tremendous energy and passion with the sole motive to cure the suffering patients”.
“My sincerity paid rich dividends and it gives me immense pride to say that today my OPD is of 150 patients. I would also like to say that it was only because of my self-belief, persistence, perseverance, and blessing of my father and Almighty God that I have traveled the journey from zero OPD to around 150 OPD daily. My patient’s feedback has often been positive which is the testimony of the fact that they are satisfied with my treatment, which in turn motivates me to contribute further to the well-being of society”, said assiduous Dr. Utkarsh with a big smile on his face.
Dr. Trivedi has been striving to make more people aware of the benefits of Homeopathy. He has also been a philanthropist par excellence. This benevolent person had partaken in more than 500 health camps to deliver free medical aid to needy people. Moreover, he had distributed immunity-booster medicines to counter corona to around 40,000 persons for free. Also, when there is a danger of other health problems like dengue, swine flu, bird flu, chicken pox, etc in the city, this kind-hearted person has been distributing medicines in the slum areas for free. Furthermore, this humane person has also been running a school in which poor and needy students are also given admission so that they are not deprived of education because of their impoverishment. No consultancy fees have been charged by this tender-hearted person from poverty-stricken patients and those children, who have become orphans during corona times.
Making demands from the Govt, Dr. Utkarsh said, “I would like to make an appeal to the Govt that more Homoeopathic colleges and research centers should be opened so that the ambit of this discipline gets more comprehensive”.
