Combined Electric and LNG freight fleet achieves emissions savings equivalent to planting approximately 29,000 trees; independently certified by third party

Ltd., a leading global producer of carbon black and specialty carbon products, announced that its combined electric and LNG-powered freight fleet enabled a 10% reduction in Carbon dioxide equivalent (CO₂e) emissions in the upstream transportation category during FY 2025–26. The reductions have been independently certified by third party, which is equivalent to planting approximately 29,000 trees.
The certified emission reductions generated through Epsilon Carbon’s lower-emission logistics operations create value for its supply chain partners. Under recognized ESG reporting frameworks, these reductions can support partners’ Scope 3 emissions reporting and sustainability disclosures, where applicable. This reinforces Epsilon Carbon’s role as a trusted sustainability partner, helping advance value chain decarbonisation.
Commenting on the achievement, Gaurav Mathur, Chief Executive Officer, Epsilon Carbon, said: “Decarbonising logistics is central to our climate strategy. What makes this milestone meaningful is that the results are independently verified with a 10% reduction in CO₂e emissions within the upstream transportation category over a single financial year, driven by the adoption of Electric and LNG fleets. Building on Phase 1 results, Epsilon Carbon plans to expand its LNG & Electric fleet in the FY 2026-27. With a year of independently certified carbon emissions reductions on record, the company is among the few players in the Indian carbon industry to operate a diversified, verified low-carbon freight model.
