Equitas SFB’s ‘Circle of Life’ campaign celebrates the resilience of small business owners, ahead of the World MSME Day

Equitas honours Karuthan’s confidence and persistence to emerge as a successful entrepreneur

India, June 10, 2024: Equitas Small Finance Bank releases a new video under its ‘Circle of Life’ campaign, highlighting the journey of a small business owner who overcomes several challenges to achieve success. The entrepreneur’s story narrated in the video is a testament to the determination and resilience of small business owners seeking sweet success.

To provide the best for his family, Karuthan stayed away from his family and worked hard but struggled to make ends meet. However, his ‘never give up’ attitude led him to start his own business of sweets and savouries. Despite facing initial setbacks, including a disappointing first day of sales, Karuthan demonstrated perseverance and eventually experienced growth in this business when Equitas helped him with a loan. With the support of the bank, he was able to expand his business and accomplish remarkable sales.

“We are proud to be a part of Karuthan’s journey and to have played a role in his success,” said Vignesh Murali, Senior Vice President and Head – Marketing, Equitas SFB. “In India, there are lakhs of small businesses who strive to survive due to the lack of availability of capital. At Equitas, we believe that every individual deserves the opportunity to achieve their dreams, and we are committed to empowering MSMEs like Karuthan’s through our financial support and services. Our ‘Circle of Life’ campaign is a celebration of the transformative power of entrepreneurship and the unwavering spirit of MSMEs.”

With its ‘Circle of Life’ series, the bank also aims to create awareness among local people by highlighting the significant contribution of MSMEs in fostering economic growth and creating jobs by providing financial services and simplifying banking experiences.
