New Delhi, 29th April 2024 – The third-largest hospitality association in the world, the Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI), encourages its members and the general public to use their right to vote in the current Lok Sabha Elections of 2024. Voters have a critical chance to influence the course of our democracy and guarantee that their voices are heard at the highest echelons of government during this election.
FHRAI aims to boost voter turnout and civic responsibility among its members. One of the initiatives is to offer discounts on dining to patrons who present the indelible ink mark on their finger, indicating they have voted. This incentive will reward those who fulfil their civic duty and encourage others to do the same. FHRAI encourages its members to run local campaigns aimed at promoting voter participation. This could include putting up display boards that remind people of voting day and urge them to exercise their franchise. These campaigns aim to create a community-driven effort to increase voter engagement.
To spread awareness about the importance of voting, FHRAI is requesting the members to leverage their social media platforms. By sharing relevant content, they can motivate a broader audience to get involved in the electoral process and make their voices heard.
Commenting on the same lines, Pradeep Shetty, President of FHRAI said, “Voting is not just a right; it’s a responsibility. By casting our votes, we actively participate in the democratic process, playing our part in the collective decisions that will guide our country’s development. I encourage everyone to take this chance to support the foundation of our robust democracy.”
“Together, we can create a culture where civic duty is valued and celebrated. These elections are a key moment for every citizen to make their mark on our country’s future. Let’s ensure that this opportunity does not go to waste”, he added.
The FHRAI invites everyone to embrace this chance to strengthen our democracy and inspire others to join the largest celebration of democracy in the world.
