Greater Chennai Corporation, CREDAI Chennai and Dhruti Charitable Trust Join Hands for “Mind Mantra” – 360° Workplace Wellness Programme for GCC Employees

Chennai, 10 August 2026: The Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC), in collaboration with CREDAI Chennai and Dhruti Charitable Trust, has launched “Mind Mantra” – a 360° Workplace Wellness Programme aimed at promoting the holistic well-being of GCC employees through structured mental health, counselling, resilience-building and workplace wellness interventions.

The initiative is supported by the Greater Chennai Corporation, with CREDAI Chennai extending support as part of its CSR initiatives and Dhruti Charitable Trust undertaking the implementation and delivery of the programme through qualified mental health professionals.

The programme has been designed to provide a comprehensive support system addressing the physical, psychological and social dimensions of employee well-being. It will include confidential psychometric screening, individual psychological counselling, stress-management and resilience-building workshops, mindfulness initiatives, workplace wellness campaigns, support groups and employee engagement activities.

A key feature of the programme will be the availability of confidential counselling support through both on-site and virtual modes, enabling employees to seek professional assistance in a comfortable and accessible manner. The initiative will also focus on building awareness around mental well-being, encouraging early help-seeking and reducing the stigma associated with seeking psychological support.

As part of the programme, selected employees will also be trained as “Mental Health Champions”, who will act as peer ambassadors to promote awareness, encourage positive workplace practices and facilitate access to professional support wherever required.

The initiative is also envisaged to be extended to the Greater Chennai Police, recognising the demanding nature of policing and the importance of providing structured emotional and psychological well-being support to police personnel as well.

Through Mind Mantra, Greater Chennai Corporation, CREDAI Chennai and Dhruti Charitable Trust aim to create greater awareness on workplace mental well-being and establish a structured, confidential and sustainable support ecosystem.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Mehul H Doshi, President, CREDAI Chennai said “At CREDAI Chennai, we strongly believe that our responsibility towards the city goes beyond building homes and creating infrastructure. It also extends to supporting the people who work every day to keep our city functioning. For CREDAI Chennai, this is not merely a CSR programme. It is our small way of giving back to the people and institutions that serve Chennai every single day.
