ICICI Bank organised currency exchange mela in New Delhi

Currency and coins worth ₹50 lakh were exchanged

New Delhi: ICICI Bank announced that it has organised a currency exchange mela and customer awareness programme at Metro Bhawan, the Head Quarters of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), in New Delhi. The mela was organised under the aegis of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). The purpose of the activity was to distribute coins and provide currency notes in exchange for soiled and mutilated ones.

Nearly 120 customers participated in the mela and exchanged currencies worth ₹50 lakh.

The staff of DMRC participated in this mela to obtain smaller denominations of currency and coins, which would help them undertake small ticket transactions in a convenient manner. Customers of ICICI Bank as well as customers of other banks participated in this mela free of cost.

The Bank has a wide network of about 220 branches and 925 ATMs in Delhi.

ICICI Bank services its large customer base through a multi-channel delivery network of branches, ATMs, call centres, internet banking (www.icicibank.com), and mobile banking.
