Jamf brings local data residency to India with new high compliance cloud environment

New environment keeps customer data in India, aligns with NIST 800-53 standards, and addresses DPDP compliance requirements as Apple adoption accelerates across the enterprise.

BANGALORE, India, May 20, 2026

Jamf, the standard in managing and securing Apple at work, today announced plans to launch a dedicated high compliance cloud environment in India, hosted within AWS’s India region and targeting customer availability in 2027. The new environment is designed to help Indian organizations meet data residency and regulatory obligations under the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, particularly in highly regulated sectors such as financial services.

Jamf is working alongside TechnoBind, its strategic distribution partner in India, to help bring Apple-first management and security capabilities to more organizations across the region. Together, the companies aim to help more Indian enterprises adopt and secure Apple at scale while they navigate evolving regulatory expectations.

The environment is aligned to NIST 800-53 Rev. 5 standards and mirrors the architecture of Jamf’s existing High Compliance Cloud in the United States. At launch, it will include Jamf Pro with Blueprints and Compliance Benchmarks, with additional capabilities planned over time. Jamf’s Compliance Benchmarks capability satisfies SEBI Cloud Framework’s accountability obligation.

“India is one of the fastest-growing enterprise Apple markets in the world, and organizations need infrastructure that supports both security and local compliance requirements,” said Henry Patel, Chief Strategy Officer at Jamf. “By hosting customer data within India and building on our established high compliance architecture, we’re giving organizations a trusted foundation for managing and securing Apple devices at scale.”

Built for regulated industries

India’s DPDP Act has increased scrutiny around how organizations manage and store data, particularly in regulated industries where cross-border data flows can introduce operational and compliance complexity. Jamf’s India environment will be hosted entirely within AWS infrastructure located in India, helping ensure customer data remains within the country.

The deployment is built on the same foundation used for Jamf’s existing High Compliance Cloud environment. Because that architecture has already been validated against NIST 800-53 controls, organizations can align to a recognized international compliance framework while maintaining local data residency requirements.

Supporting India’s growing Apple enterprise footprint

Apple adoption across India’s enterprise market continues to expand, particularly within financial services, technology and professional services organizations. As deployments scale, organizations increasingly need management and security solutions that support Apple workflows natively.

Through its partnership with TechnoBind, Jamf is extending its reach in India with local expertise, channel engagement and regional enterprise relationships. The partnership helps enterprises access Apple-first management and security solutions designed to meet both operational and compliance requirements.

“As organizations across India continue adopting Apple in the enterprise, there is growing demand for solutions that combine strong security, compliance alignment and a seamless user experience. Jamf’s investment in local data residency is an important step for customers operating in highly regulated industries”, said Chiranjeev T.K., General Manager and Country Head – India at Jamf

Jamf already supports large-scale Apple deployments across the region. Combined with TechnoBind’s regional reach and enterprise relationships, the India high compliance environment is intended to help more organizations adopt Apple securely while meeting local data residency requirements.

Expanding Jamf’s high compliance cloud strategy

The launch represents the first dedicated high compliance cloud environment for Jamf in the Asia-Pacific region. The company plans to continue expanding local data residency options globally as demand for regional compliance infrastructure grows.
