‘ON THE STREETS OF CHENNAI’ x IBIS MUSIC AT IBIS CHENNAI OMR

Chennai 22 September 2022 – ibis Chennai OMR partnered with ‘On the Streets of Chennai’ – a collective of over 800 musicians to celebrate #ibismusic in the city of Chennai.

Located in the heart of the new business district, ibis Chennai OMR is emerging as a preferred destination for team outings and after work celebrations. With the spirit music being in the brand DNA the hotel has partnered with ‘On the Streets of Chennai’ to create a mesmerizing musical experience for its patrons.

‘On the Streets of Chennai’ is a musical collective that includes various musicians from all walks and genres. Formed with a core vision of spreading happiness and music to everyone, ‘On the Streets of Chennai’ brings the biggest concerts to the street.

‘On the Streets of Chennai’ and ibis Chennai OMR came together for this unique experience of ibis music. The first half of the day was an audition session to induct newer talent in the collective. Followed by a joint musical jamming session with over 200 participants playing popular numbers in harmony and in perfect synchronization.

The live performance in the open-air was the key highlight of the evening. The packed evening began with the popular band ‘Monk’ playing a mix of their original labels and some popular numbers. Later the event went to a crescendo when the star performers of ‘On the Streets of Chennai’ – flute artist Suraj and singer Krishna set the stage on fire with their stellar performances that got the audience groove.

On this occasion ibis Chennai OMR also announced that ‘On the Streets of Chennai’ will perform at the hotel every Wednesday and Thursday from 1900hrs – 2200hrs.
