PW IOI Welcomes First Batch of Learners: Aims to Transform Students into Tech Industry Leaders

Oct 09, 2023: Physics Wallah (PW), India’s leading edtech platform, has officially opened its doors to the first batch of students at the PW IOI School of Technology (PW IOI-SOT), a 4-year residential program in Computer Science and AI aimed at addressing the demand and supply gap for digitally skilled talent in the Indian software industry. The institute, strategically located in Bengaluru, the Silicon Valley of India, has welcomed over 150 students to its program, with the vision of equipping them with industry-relevant skills to make them future-ready.

The orientation program for the newly joined students was held at PW IOI in Bengaluru on October 7, with classes commencing on October 9. From the first week of the program, students will have the opportunity to connect with three mentors from Google and Microsoft, fostering invaluable connections and insights. Throughout the curriculum, they will benefit from the mentorship of 20 full-time experts, each with diverse experiences. The students will also have access to guidance from an additional 80 industry experts from tech giants such as Google, Apple, and Microsoft.

The program combines real-world experience with an industry-focused curriculum. It boasts experienced faculty and industry leaders from top companies as mentors, an industry-oriented curriculum, up to 100% scholarships, and real-world projects. These elements ensure that students are well-prepared for success in their professional journey. Personalized guidance, four comprehensive internships, networking opportunities, global exposure, and a state-of-the-art campus further enhance the program’s effectiveness.

In line with its commitment to making high-quality, industry-relevant education accessible and affordable, Physics Wallah has also partnered with the peer-to-peer social investing platform Rang De. Together, they have introduced the Physics Wallah Fund, aimed at providing economically disadvantaged students with affordable, collateral-free education loans tailored for enrollment in Physics Wallah’s Institute of Innovation (PW IOI).

In addition to the PW IOI-SOT program, PW IOI has also introduced the School of Management (SOM), an innovative three-year residential program designed to nurture future leaders in business and entrepreneurship within the fields of management and technology. This program will commence on November 1, 2023. It is designed to foster innovation in tackling real-life challenges, allowing students to solve real-time startup and industry problems, and apply their knowledge to transform ideas into action.
