Red Bull BC One Cypher, India’s leading breaking competition is back for its ninth edition

The Red Bull BC One Cypher India 2024, the nation’s premier breaking championship with a 22-year
legacy, is set to ignite dance floors across four cities from June 7th to 9th. Red Bull has played a
pivotal role in educating and spreading awareness of breaking both in India and globally. This
prestigious event will feature the country’s top B-Boys and B-Girls competing in electrifying battles,
all aiming to secure their spot at the Red Bull BC One India Finals. The ultimate winner will represent
India at the World Finals in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on December 7th, 2024.

The competition will kick off with city qualifiers in Bhopal, Kolkata, New Delhi, and Mumbai where
international and local judges will also conduct exclusive workshops, sharing their expertise and
inspiring the next generation of breakers. The judging panel for this year’s Red Bull BC One Cypher
City is comprised of globally acclaimed breakers, including Junior Bosila Banya, aka B-Boy Junior, who
is famous for his superhuman strength and handstand acrobatics, and B-Boy Kleju, one of the
world’s most recognizable bboys.

B-Boy Junior will be judging the qualifiers in Bhopal, AV StepUp Studio and in New Delhi, Big Dance
Centre while B-Boy Kleju will oversee the competitions at Udyana Kalakendra (Mamtha Shankar) in
Kolkata and Kings Dance Studio in Mumbai. These iconic figures have left an indelible mark on the
breaking scene, and their presence adds immense value to the event. Each judge brings a wealth of
experience and a unique perspective, ensuring that only the best talents will advance to the India
finals.

The nation’s most talented b-boys and b-girls will gather in Bangalore on 4th July to showcase their
best power moves, top rock steps, footwork, freezes, tricks, and conduct workshops along with
experiencing the Bangalore City Cypher. The India finals are set to take place on 6th July at
Bengaluru, Manpho Convention Centre. This year’s Red Bull BC One Cypher India will be judged by B
-Boy Ronnie, one of the first breakers to build a multi-layered career as a competitive b-boy and
dancer. He is also a Red Bull BC One All Star. He will be accompanied by his co-judges B-Boy Bunny, a
pioneer in breaking and one of the most iconic and respected personalities who have inspired
generations of breakers from across the world and B-Girl AT, a world reknown b-girl, dancer, and
dance teacher whose accomplishments include first places in battles. One b-boy and one b-girl
winner of Red Bull BC One Cypher India will fly to Brazil at the end of the year to compete in an
electrifying global qualifier, the Red Bull BC One Last Chance Cypher, for a chance to be one of the
16 b-boys and b-girls who make it to the World Final stage.
