S T Hasan

S T Hasan is an Indian politician and a Member of Parliament (MP) from the Lok Sabha constituency of Moradabad in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Hasan is a member of Samajwadi Party (SP). In the 2019 general elections, Hasan defeated his nearest rival Kunwar Sarvesh Kumar Singh of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) by a margin of more than 98,000 votes. Hasan had also contested the 2014 general elections and at that time he was defeated by Kunwar Sarvesh Kumar Singh. Things changed in favor of Hasan in 2019, as Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) had fought the elections together. This consolidated votes for Hasan and he was able to secure a comfortable win in the elections. Prior to his win in Lok Sabha elections, Hasan had also served as the Mayor of Metropolitan Council of Moradabad.

Throughout his political career, Hasan has worked for the welfare of poor and oppressed people of the society. He has been involved in projects that seek to provide socio-economic benefits to farmers. Hasan also loves nature and wildlife and has been committed to its protection.

Early Life and Education

S T Hasan was born on June 29, 1958 to Syed Naseer Hasan and Smt. Hoor Jahan. He was born in Moradabad and completed his M.B.B.S. and MS from Aligarh Muslim University, Uttar Pradesh. By profession, Hasan is an agriculturist and medical practitioner. He married Rizwana Hasan on June 07, 1989.
