Stonehill Collaborates With Thapar Entrepreneurs Academy To Foster Young Innovators

Bangalore, June 17, 2024 – Thapar Entrepreneurs Academy recently concluded its dynamic Entrepreneurship Workshop for Grade 10 and 11 students, held at Stonehill International School, Bangalore, from May 31st to June 7th. The intensive programme honed their business acumen and provided the budding entrepreneurs with a strong foundation on the practicalities of entrepreneurship.

The week-long workshop guided them through the comprehensive process of crafting a business plan, producing and refining a product, determining pricing strategies, and executing marketing and sales plans.

The participants were divided into teams, fostering collaboration and exploration of creative ideas. The workshop culminated in the development of unique products by each team, featuring innovative concepts such as Mini Minds, a fun and educational activity kit for children; Nutri Box, a nutritious breakfast in a box; The Salvagers, an educational card game for waste segregation; Nature Surfer, an innovative agricultural solutions company, utilising AI for sustainable farming; Thaila Totes, a sustainable Tote company; and Bean, a coffee-on-the-go solution. The students had the opportunity to showcase and sell their products to the Stonehill community, gaining real-world experience in sales and customer interaction.

The highlight of the event was the Trade Show, a platform reminiscent of the popular television show Shark Tank. This event was graced by Namita Thapar, a prominent investor in Shark Tank India, who provided inspiration and guidance to the young entrepreneurs. The Trade Show also featured esteemed judges Abhinav Sharma, Grant Manager, Zerodha, and Dinika Bhatia Dey, Founder, Nutty Gritties. Their expertise and insights were invaluable in selecting the winning teams.

The winning team, EcoPlay Games, with their product The Salvagers, an educational card game about waste segregation, won a cash grant of Rs. 50,000 and an internship at a local start-up.

The Entrepreneurship Workshop at Stonehill provided students with essential business skills that inspired them to pursue their innovative ideas with confidence and determination. Stonehill is enthusiastic about developing real-world partnerships that enhance student skills through immersive and practical learning experiences.
