TAPMI launches first batch of MBA in Technology Management Program

Bengaluru, 22/6/24: T A Pai Management Institute, (TAPMI) a premier business school of Manipal has kickstarted the first batch of the MBA in Technology Management programme at MAHE Bangalore campus. This program is designed to nurture management professionals who can envision and convert the business opportunities that emerging technologies offer into technology products and services.

The inauguration of the first batch was graced by Mr Manish Jain, Chief Technology Officer, VP & Global Head People Analytics, Capegemini, Mr Sumit Khandlewal, Co-Founder and CEO – XoXoday, TAPMI Alumni.

Addressing the students, Mr Manish Jain, Chief Guest reminisced about his days in Microsoft, Reliance, building Outlook and Jio Telecom. He said. “ Technology, Management and business are co-related and interdependent with each other. Recognising human behaviour is a major aspect of building and innovating technology. In the age of disruption, continuous upskilling and learning is the only way to stay relevant and be competitive” He also emphasised that, while we build and design any technology, always focus on sustainability in every aspect.

Welcoming the new batch, Dr Madhu Veeraraghavan, Prof Vice Chancellor, MLHS  & Bengaluru said, “Technology has been a critical input and interface in all the developmental influence and innovation in India. Any future revolution we plan for the future, it will have technology imprint on it. At TAPMI Bangalore, we want to benchmark MBA in Technology Management program as the top class program in the world”

Speaking on the course, Dr Adithya Jadhav, Dean of TAPMI Bengaluru said “In the new market context business transformation is a continuous process and multiple waves of new technology are opening new opportunities. We need leaders who can imagine the business possibilities that technology offers to create that business edge.MBA Technology Management seeks to fill that niche gap offering multi-disciplinary management learning in a technological context.

The inauguration was followed by Lead X AI Tech talk on the topic “ Climbing the corporate Ladder : Achieving Leadership Excellence in business and life” featuring Mr Manish Jain moderated by Mr Sridhar Tonse Pai, Founder Tonse Telecom

The 2-year (6 trimester) program is offered on TAPMI(MAHE) Bangalore campus, with instruction by industry professionals and academic research professors and continuous live projects in renowned Technology companies in Bangalore and other Technology hubs.

Program innovation extends to pedagogy as well with labs, live projects and long duration internship segments for applied learning. Technology Management and Industry Vertical courses will be taught by seasoned industry practitioners
