Ujaas promotes Menstrual Health at TATA Marathon: A Run Towards Open Conversations and Stigma-Free Periods

Mumbai 21 January, 2024: In a significant move to raise awareness about menstrual health, Ujaas, an initiative by Aditya Birla Education Trust, actively participated in the 5.6-kilometer Dream Run at the TATA Marathon. The initiative was led by participation in the Marathon run, with the enthusiastic involvement of over 300 employees from the Aditya Birla Group and Aditya Birla Education Trust, highlighting their shared commitment to the cause. The event emphasized the importance of accurate knowledge for menstrual health and hygiene management as fundamental right rather than a luxury. By bringing together a diverse group, Ujaas aimed to stress that menstrual health is a crucial aspect of women’s well-being, deserving widespread attention. The event also received support from 100+ student volunteers representing various colleges in Mumbai, showcasing a heartening demonstration of solidarity.

The Dream Run at TATA Marathon served as a potent platform to shatter myths and challenge societal norms. Ujaas, through engaging slogans, endeavoured to educate participants and spectators alike, aiming to dismantle the prevailing stigma surrounding menstrual health.
