Vedanta’s Iron Ore Business reaffirms its commitment towards nature’s conservation on World Environment Day through plantation drives and awareness programs

· Vedanta’s Iron Ore business launches ‘Sesa Sustainability drive 2022’ at Chitradurga in and around its operations.

· Company organizes plantation drives and awareness sessions for communities in and around all the operations

Hyderabad/ Bengaluru, 7th June 2022: On World Environment Day, Vedanta’s – Iron Ore Business is organizing series of Environment conservation activities and awareness programs in & around all its operations at Goa, Karnataka, Gujarat, Maharastra and Odisha. The company launched Sesa Sustainability drive 2022 at Chitradurga- Karnataka which will include various initiatives such as sapling distribution, jute bag distribution, plantation drives in the presence of Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KPSCB) officials and awareness sessions in nearby schools. Company also carried out planation drives across all it’s operations and in communities around at Goa & Gujarat.

Additionally, Vedanta’s Iron ore Business organized site visits of senior government officials and key stakeholders to showcase environment conservation initiatives. Besides this company have launched various competitions based on this year’s theme that is #OnlyOneEarth for all employees & Business partners coupled with various awareness programs, rallies within plant premises. Vedanta’s Sesa Goa Iron Ore Business recently launched #SesaForGreenerGood and ESG Xchange campaigns to highlight company’s best ESG initiatives and create awareness about adoption of Best ESG practices.
