Excellence at ET Infra Rail Show
At the 4th ET Infra Rail Show, RITES won the Excellence in Railway/Metro Station Design & Development award for Ayodhya Dham Jn., while its subsidiary, REMC Ltd., secured the Innovation in Rail Electrification for Green Railways award. On the sidelines of this awards function, Mr. Ghalib Ahmed Jillani, Executive Director (Quality Assurance), spoke at a panel on “Smart and Secure Railways – Safety, End-to-End Connectivity, and Cybersecurity,” highlighting RITES’ commitment to advancing rail safety and innovation.

MAITRI Workshop in Mumbai
On June 13, 2025, RITES, in collaboration with Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA), co-hosted the MAITRI (Master Application for International Trade & Regulatory Interface) Workshop in Mumbai. Led by Customs and Port officials, the session focused on streamlining Customs EXIM procedures through the MAITRI framework, fostering efficient cross-border logistics data exchange. The workshop highlighted RITES’ dedication to enhancing trade efficiency and global connectivity.

African Journalists Visit
On June 11, 2025, RITES hosted a delegation of 47 journalists from Africa and West Asia at its Gurugram office, as part of a familiarization visit organized by the Ministry of External Affairs. The interactive Meet & Greet session showcased RITES’ expertise in engineering consultancy, sustainable development, and transformative mobility. The visit, part of a broader tour across India, reinforced RITES’ commitment to fostering partnerships and inclusive infrastructure in Africa.
Locomotive Export to Mozambique
Reinforcing the ‘Make in India’ vision, RITES flagged off the first batch of 10 state-of-the-art locomotives to Mozambique from Banaras Locomotive Works (BLW), Varanasi, as part of a $37.68 million export order. This milestone underscores RITES’ role as the export arm of Indian Railways, delivering reliable, world-class transport solutions to Africa and beyond, while strengthening global connectivity and engineering excellence.
