BharatPe UPI Launches ‘Maha Kumbh Shield’, Devotees in Prayagraj would be able to protect digital payments made up to Rs 25,000

–   Designed to celebrate the spirit of Maha Kumbh, BharatPe UPI’s new offering safeguards users from fraudulent digital transactions up to Rs 25,000

–   Users who install the BharatPe app at Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj and make their first transaction can activate the Shield service for free for the first month

National, 10^th February 2025: BharatPe App, India’s rapidly growing UPI payment service, has announced the launch of ‘Maha Kumbh Shield’, which protects UPI payments of pilgrims visiting Prayagraj. The comprehensive fraud protection plan has been specially designed for Maha Kumbh 2025. Users would be able to secure their mobile payments up to Rs 25,000 for a period of 30 days for free.

The innovative ‘Maha Kumbh Shield’ is a tailored security plan aimed at protecting millions of devotees participating in the mega spiritual event against phishing scams, unauthorized transactions due to device theft, and other cyber threats.

To activate the plan, the users in Prayagraj can simply download the BharatPe app and complete their first UPI transaction. Post this, they will get free protection for amounts up to INR 25,000 for the first month and after the free trial period, users can continue using the service for just INR 19 per month.

With BharatPe Shield, users can successfully claim compensation for any UPI fraud within 10 days. To enhance convenience, BharatPe Shield provides round-the-clock support via app, chatbot, and toll-free helplines for reporting fraud and raising claims. With this initiative, BharatPe reinforces its commitment to ensuring secure digital payments for its growing user base.
