“This necklace is not just jewellery—it symbolises strength, vision and India’s rise on the world stage,” said Ruchi. “By wearing it at Cannes, I wanted to pay tribute to our Prime Minister, under whose leadership India has scaled new heights.” The necklace was adorned with traditional Rajasthani designs and inspired by Prime Minister Modi’s signature style, adding emotional and cultural depth to her look.
Her outfit—a golden lehenga designed by Rupa Sharma—was adorned with mirror work, gota patti and embroidery, a modern interpretation of the royal art of Jaipur. This glittering lehenga presented traditional Rajasthani beauty in a modern way.
With her lehenga, Ruchi wore a bandhani dupatta by designer Ram of Zaribaari, which was embellished with zardozi and gota patti. It symbolized the textile tradition of Rajasthan and the spiritual depth of Indian culture. Ruchi said, “Wearing this dupatta was like I had taken on the soul of Rajasthan.”
However, the real highlight was her PM Modi-inspired necklace. The intricately crafted jewellery not only made a fashion statement but also exuded patriotic spirit. “PM Modi has redefined India’s global image. I wanted to carry that pride with me, and this necklace was my tribute to his leadership,” said Ruchi.
With her special appearance at Cannes, Ruchi Gujjar has emerged as a cultural icon, showcasing the beauty of Indian tradition while honoring a leader who has become the global face of India’s progress. She concluded, “Representing Rajasthan and India at Cannes is not just a moment—it is a message to the world to tell them who we are.”
