Visakhapatnam: 26th September, 2025: Adani Gangavaram Port Limited (AGPL) stood alongside the people of Visakhapatnam to support the International Coastal Cleanup Day event at Ramakrishna Beach, joining hands with the Indian Coast Guard and thousands of spirited citizens in creating a cleaner and greener coastline.
The event saw over 2,500 volunteers – from schoolchildren and community groups to corporate teams – come together with a shared mission: to protect the ocean and preserve one of the city’s most loved beaches. With energy, enthusiasm, and collective effort, a 5-kilometer stretch of the beach was cleared of waste, sending out a strong message on the importance of tackling marine pollution.
The event was graced by Shri M. Sribharat, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, as the Chief Guest, alongside Shri M. N. Harendra Prasad, District Collector, Visakhapatnam, as Guest of Honour. Both leaders lauded the spirit of the volunteers and emphasized the need for ongoing community participation in safeguarding our natural environment.
