ESCP Combines Global Recognition and Growing Engagement in India in a Landmark 2025

As part of its “Bold & United” 2026–2030 strategic plan, ESCP announced the creation of two new academic entities: the School of Technology, scheduled to launch in 2027, and the School of Governance, planned for 2029. This marks a decisive step in ESCP’s evolution as the institution aims to expand from the world’s first business school, created in 1819, to the first European University of Management by 2030.
Rankings and academic performance
ESCP’s academic strength was reflected in its performance across leading international rankings in 2025. In the Financial Times European Business School Rankings, ESCP was ranked 4th. In the Financial Times Masters in Management Ranking, ESCP’s Master in Management ranked 5th in Europe and 7th worldwide. In the Financial Times Executive MBA Ranking, ESCP’s Executive MBA was ranked 1st in Europe and 3rd globally, with top scores in career progression, ESG, and international exposure. ESCP also ranked 1st worldwide in the FT’s Master in Finance ranking.
In the QS Business Master’s Rankings 2026, ESCP’s MSc in Marketing & Creativity ranked 3rd worldwide, and the MSc in Big Data & Business Analytics ranked 9th worldwide.
Global recognition by Poets&Quants
Following these results, ESCP was named Business School of the Year 2025 by Poets&Quants, one of the most influential international media platforms in management education. The distinction recognises ESCP’s pioneering multi-campus model, its emphasis on technology and sustainable entrepreneurship, as well as its long-term strategic transformation.
India partnerships and student community
India continued to play a strategic role in ESCP’s international development. In 2025, ESCP signed two new partnerships with IIT Bombay and IIT Madras, following the visit of Prof. Dean Léon Laulusa in March. These agreements complement longstanding collaborations with leading Indian institutions, including exchange and dual-degree programmes with IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Lucknow, IIM Udaipur, MDI Gurgaon, and SPJIMR.
Furthermore, the number of Indian students at ESCP Business School has been steadily increasing, with more than 600 Indian students enrolled across ESCP’s campuses. India now represents the third country of origin of students at ESCP Business School, after France and Italy.
AI, sustainability and entrepreneurship
Innovation and sustainability remained central to ESCP’s academic vision in 2025. After partnering with OpenAI, the School expanded its AI capabilities through a partnership with Hugging Face, giving more than 11,000 students and faculty access to the open-source AI platform. ESCP also renewed its collaboration with Schneider Electric to advance digital transformation with a focus on sustainable impact.
In addition, ESCP launched a Sustainability Advisory Council to strengthen its ESG framework and responsible leadership agenda. 2025 also marked the 10th anniversary of ESCP’s Bachelor in Management programme, which today attracts students from over 80 nationalities.
A European model of management education
Commenting on the year’s achievements, Prof. Léon Laulusa, Executive President and Dean of ESCP Business School, shared, “The progress we have made in 2025 reflects ESCP’s distinctive European model of management education, one that is humanist, multicultural, and academically rigorous. Our focus remains on preparing leaders who can engage with technologies like AI thoughtfully and ethically, while responding responsibly to the economic, social, and environmental challenges of a complex global landscape.”
