Zydus Pinkathon Marks Grand Return to Delhi for Eighth Edition, To Be Held on 8th March 2026, at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium

New Delhi, January 14, 2026: Building on the momentum of its landmark 10th edition in Mumbai, the Zydus Pinkathon has announced its return to Delhi for the eighth edition of the women’s run, marking a significant homecoming for one of the platform’s most engaged cities. The announcement event at Hyatt Regency, Delhi, signals Pinkathon’s continued expansion in the 2025–26 season, following a Mumbai edition that brought together over 5,300 women and set a world record for the maximum number of visually impaired women running together.

Returning to the capital after six and half years, the Zydus Pinkathon Delhi will feature race categories from 3 km, Lifelong 5 km, and 10 km to ultra distances of 50 km, 75 km, 100 km, and 100 km relay. Built on the pillars of women’s health, inclusivity, inspiration, and empowerment, the 2025–26 edition continues under the title partnership of Zydus Lifesciences, aligning sport with preventive healthcare. Through its Easiest Exam campaign, Zydus promotes regular self-breast examinations, reinforcing Pinkathon’s belief that running should be accessible, inclusive, and confidence-driven.

This year in Delhi, the run proudly celebrates a diverse and inspiring group of mascots who embody strength, resilience, and the spirit of community running. Leading the lineup is Commander Priya Khurana, representing the 100K category, followed by Ritu Chandel Handa for the 75K and Arti Limje, a visually impaired runner for the 50K distance. The event also honours Jaswinder Kaur, 10K category, and Bhavana Saxena, a cancer survivor representing the Lifelong 5K run. Maria Bagatsing, a dedicated babywearing mother, stands as the mascot for the 3K category. Together, these remarkable women reflect the run’s ethos of inclusivity and courage. With categories ranging from 3 km, Lifelong 5 km, 10 km, all the way up to ultra distances, the event encourages participation from both first-time runners and seasoned athletes, making it a true celebration of endurance, empowerment, and community spirit.

Over the years, Delhi has played a significant role in shaping Zydus Pinkathon’s journey, with more than 50,000 women having participated across earlier editions. Building on this legacy and the strong response seen in Mumbai, the upcoming edition aims to re-energise the city’s women’s running community, blending grassroots participation with structured race formats that allow performance and community-led running to grow side by side.

Milind Soman, Founder, Pinkathon, said, “Delhi has always been an important part of Pinkathon’s story, and coming back for the eighth edition feels like picking up a conversation that never really stopped. Over the years, thousands of women in this city have shown up, run, walked, and grown with the platform. What we saw in Mumbai was that same energy at scale, and Delhi is ready for that again, women stepping into fitness in ways that feel personal, welcoming, and sustainable.”

Beyond the race distances, Zydus Pinkathon’s broader programming continues to shape how women engage with fitness in India. Over the years, the platform has introduced formats that challenge conventional barriers to participation—from sari runs and baby-wearing mothers’ walks to the inclusion of visually impaired runners and ultra-distance events. These categories, many of which have gone on to influence the wider running ecosystem, remain central to Pinkathon’s approach in every city.

Quoted on the occasion, Dr. Sharvil Patel, Managing Director, Zydus Lifesciences, said, “With the Easiest Exam campaign, we seek to empower women with the knowledge that a simple 3-minute self-examination each month can make a life-saving difference. Joining hands with Pinkathon, we aim to reach many more women, raise awareness, and inspire collective action in the fight against breast cancer. We believe that raising awareness on women’s health and Breast cancer remains equally vital, as early detection has the power to save countless lives.”

As a precursor to the main event, Zydus Pinkathon Delhi will host a series of community-led runs and initiatives, including the Saree Run, Grandmother’s 10K, Visually Impaired Training Run, and the Cancer Shero Walk, reinforcing its commitment to inclusivity, accessibility, and women’s health.

Ankita Konwar, Founder, Invincible Women, said, “What excites me most is the consistency we’re seeing, women returning year after year, moving across distances, and growing stronger with time. Endurance isn’t just physical, it’s mental and emotional too. Platforms like Pinkathon make that visible. They normalise women taking up space in sport, pushing limits at their own pace, and staying committed to fitness as a long-term practice, not a one-day achievement.”

As the season progresses, the Zydus Pinkathon will move next to Bengaluru on January 25, 2026, followed by Hyderabad on February 15, 2026, before heading to Delhi, Kolkata, and Chennai later in the year. The event was supported by a strong ecosystem of partners, led by Zydus as the Title Partner, with Aspect Sports as the Race Sports Partner and Lotus Herbal as the Sunscreen Partner, followed by SAI and FIT India as Supporting Partners. The initiative was further strengthened by Lifelong (Fitness Partner), Sirona (Hygiene Partner), Hyatt Regency (Hospitality Partner), and Fujifilm (Breast Health Partner), along with Bisleri (Hydration Partner), Zivame (Activewear Partner), 3Tenx (Hair Wellness Partner), Enthusionz (Digital Partner), and Big FM (Radio Partner). Inc 5 supported the event as the Gifting Partner, Maitrayana as the Philanthropy Partner, and the event was seamlessly executed by Smiling Tiger Experiences.

Dr. Manish Singhal, Leading Oncologist, said, “Our association with Zydus Pinkathon has shown how a credible platform can turn awareness into meaningful action at scale. With over 5,300 women participating and record community engagement, it reaffirmed the impact of sustained, preventive health initiatives. As Zydus Pinkathon moves to Delhi, we remain committed to empowering women to prioritise health through fitness, complemented by initiatives like Zydus’ Easiest Exam that normalise early screening and strengthen the continuum from awareness to timely detection.”

Founded in 2012, Pinkathon has evolved from a single-city run into a nationwide platform that uses running to build visibility, access, and confidence for women. With each edition, it continues to reaffirm its core belief that fitness is not limited by age, ability, or circumstance and that when women are given the space to show up, they redefine what participation in sport looks like.
