Released in theatres in December 2025, Dhurandhar has set the box office on fire. In terms of overall collections (domestic + global), Dhurandhar is now ranked the 4th largest grossing Indian movie. Even after several weeks, Dhurandhar is still going strong in many theatres. The movie is expected to be released on OTT as well, details about which are given below.

Dhurandhar OTT release date

While an official confirmation is awaited, reports indicate that Dhurandhar OTT release is likely to debut on Netflix. It is being anticipated that Dhurandhar could be available on Netflix from January 30, 2026. However, we have to wait for final official announcement to get the confirmation on this. Filmmakers usually try to strike a balance between theater earnings and the revenue from the sale of OTT rights.

As revenue from theatres starts to drop, it is essential that the movie be released on OTT as soon as possible. This ensures adequate viewership and revenues. If there is delay in OTT release, people tend to forget or get engaged with another blockbuster movie. It is being reported that for Dhurandhar OTT release, Netflix has signed a deal of Rs 130 crore for both Part 1 and Part 2. It is to note that Part 2 of Dhurandhar is planned for release in March 2026.

Some sources claim a higher sale price for the OTT rights at around 285 crore and that too for only Part 1. In that case, Dhurandhar will enter the record books as one of the biggest OTT deals in India. However, there is no official confirmation. Dhurandhar OTT release is expected to be widely watched by first-time viewers as well as repeat audiences.

With its distinctive storyline, realistic visualization, punchy music, strong characters and powerful performances by actors like Akshaye Khanna, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, etc., Dhurandhar has successfully got the attention of audiences across the globe. The movie is still showing in many theatres across India and overseas as well. As of now, the domestic box office collection of Dhurandhar is Rs 1,015 crore (gross).

Across global markets, the collection is Rs 285 crores (gross). Experts have pointed out the fact that the earnings would have been even higher if the movie was running in the Middle East. As many of you may be aware, the Middle East countries have raised objections to some of the content shown in Dhurandhar. Due to this, Dhurandhar is currently banned in the Middle East.

However, discussions are being held to release the movie after removing the objectionable items from the movie. Experts say that if Dhurandhar was released in the Middle East, it would have easily crossed Rs 1,400 crore by now. It will be interesting to see how things move forward in this context.

For now, Dhurandhar is ranked the 4th highest grossing Indian film ever. At number one is Dangal, which had global box office collection of Rs 2,059 crore. Next is Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion, which earned Rs 1,810 crore at the box office. At number three is Pushpa 2: The Rule, which earned Rs 1,785 crore at the box office.
